The existing school design as a "finger plan" with a series of
classroom expansions tied to a gymnasium and administration
wing. The original plan was to renovate window systems,
classrooms and upgrade HVAC systems.
The completed design accomplished the above and so much more...
by creatively incorporating new additions with existing
classroom spaces and effective use of renovation dollars, we
were able to renovate all spaces, in addition to providing
lacking programmatic needs.
The completed project totaled 57,500 s.f. including new
additions and providing new computer lab, art, music, media
center, kitchen and cafeteria/multipurpose rooms. All existing
spaces received new finishes, new windows, new heating and new
air conditioning.
To improve site circulation, the street scape was changed to
provide a bus drop off including a covered student entry.
